Design Differences between TATA Motors and JLR:

TATA Motors manufactures most cars with variants of petrol and diesel.
Comfort features of their low cost and medium cost passenger vehicles include fabric seats, foldable rear seats, adjustable front restraints for seats, front wiper and wash system, back wiper and wash system with adjustable wiper speeds, power steering, internal antenna, air conditioning, heating and mist removal systems. Some of the high end models have, Socket for Mobile Charger & Cigarette Lighter, Vanity Mirrors on Sun visor for Driver Co-Driver, Spot Reading Lamps and Cabin Lamps, Remote Release for Fuel Lid Latch and Tailgate Latch.
Safety features for low cost and medium cost cars comprise of Central Locking, Centre High Mount Stop Lamp, Door Lock on Driver Side, Booster-assisted Brakes, Front & Rear Seat Belts, Additional Body Reinforcements, Radial Tubeless Tyres. The high end cars, on the other hand, have unique features like ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), Airbags - Driver and Passenger, Front Passenger Airbag Deactivation, Remote Central Locking, Anti-Theft Device-Immobilizer, Ignition-Cum-Steering Lock, Child Safety Lock on Rear Doors, Collapsible Steering Column and Side Impact Protection Beams On Front & Rear Doors.
Jaguar cars have all the luxury elements like unconventional sunroofs, xenon head lamps, ultrasonic detectors for reverse as well as forward object detection, chrome vents for engine heat release, eye catching alloy wheels.

Overall observation is that JLR uses superior quality materials and higher performance engines when compared to TATA Motors and thus have a better appeal and driving comfort factor.
Design features of Tata Motors are not very popular. The cars are known to rust faster in extreme weather conditions and scratch easily due to poor quality paints. The ergonomic quality, on the other hand, is excellent with sufficient leg space and seating space that makes it a perfect car for people of all ages. The low end models like Nano, Inidica, Indigo, Sumo etc are not really a visual delight because the body and colours are simple and common. The high end models like the Aria, Stormme, on the other hand, have futuristic and robust models with brilliant colours that give an elite look.
If the design values of the TATA cars are compared to the Jaguar and Land Rover cars it can be seen that the TATA cars have a very sharp and bulky line value. It is more similar to the line values of Land Rover than that of Jaguar. The Land Rover looks bulky because of its boxy line value. Jaguar on the other hand has more prominent curves and looks faster. The size of the cars while being the same a jaguar looks smaller compared to the bulky took of a TATA car, for instance a Jaguar XJ and a TATA Manza are both sedan type cars. Being from the same type the two car designs give a very different feel. The TATA car has very sharp features and does not look very sleek as opposed to the XJ, which is, while a big looking car, looks relatively sleeker due to its curves and also gives a very luxury car look because of its sleek design. The TATA Sumo when compared to a Range Rover can be seen as a very basic looking utility car, which is convenient to carry heavy products and transportation. The Range Rover on the other hand looks like a luxury off-roading vehicle as it should. The design values of all of the above brands are such that they show the market range and purpose they are targeted at.
